biography
Katey Tryon directs projects using her 22 years of experience in executive search. Her areas of specialty include executive search and human resources planning. Ms. Tryon has a thorough knowledge of the entire search process including sourcing, candidate recruitment, selection and relocation. She also has extensive knowledge of not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to forming Tryon & Heideman, LLC, Ms. Tryon was Managing Principal of Executive Search for a large Midwest human resources consulting firm. As Vice President for a national consulting firm, she developed the association and not-for-profit executive search function. At R.H. Macy's, Inc., Ms. Tryon served as Vice President of Human Resources, leading the staffing and development groups.
Ms. Tryon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing at the University of Iowa and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Ms. Tryon is currently active in both civic and professional organizations in Kansas City, including the St. Joseph Health Center Foundation.
