Yesim Toduk is the founding partner of Amrop in Turkey, and her clients cover a broad spectrum of multinational and local Turkish firms. Her focus is Leadership. She specializes in searches for Managing Directors, Sales & Marketing Directors and other Executive and Non-executive Board Members. Before joining Amrop, Yesim had previously worked for Leo Burnett Advertising in Turkey and an electronic retailer in Washington D.C; she ran a representative office of German companies active in Turkey in the industrial investment sector and has also been engaged in management consultancy practice. Yesim holds a PhD in Management and Marketing from the Bosphorus University, an MBA from the university of Wisconsin and a BA in Business Administration from the Middle East Technical University. She has taught Management and Marketing at several Turkish universities. Before embarking on her career in executive search, Toduk specialized in providing highly customized, in-company training sessions on Marketing as well as Management Consultancy (strategy and organizational design) to several of Turkey’s top 20 companies. Prior to these positions, she worked as a representative of two major international industrial suppliers where she examined around 150 factories and manufacturing plants nationwide. This experience provided Toduk with an in-depth understanding of the Turkish business arena, as well as the Finance, Production, IT, Marketing and Sales professionals in the field and their competencies. These experiences have, accordingly, furnished her with sound benchmarking assets. She specifically devotes time to share her knowledge in the Energy, Telecom, Financial Services and FMCG industries with business professionals. She has been a founding partner of Amrop Turkey at its inception and has since contributed to its growth. On a one year international assignment in 2001, she worked at the Amrop Paris Office, in charge of Major Multinational Clients throughout four continents.
