biography

Dominic So is dedicated to the recruitment of senior level executives for both established and emerging companies. He also helps multinational and local companies to define and address management and sales transformation needs.

Dominic is recognized as a technology industry leader and executive in the Asia Pacific/Greater China region. He joined DS & Associates in 2004.

As a senior executive with proven track records of developing businesses, formulating ventures, improving sales and managing turnarounds in the IT industry, Dominic believes in substantiating long-term business growth by creating customer value, people development, organisation building and improving customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining DS & Associates, Dominic was leading the high performance sales transformation effort of IBM Asia Pacific/Japan and was the general manager of banking & finance industries of IBM HK/China. In IBM Asia Pacific/Japan, Dominic was responsible to set talent strategies, hiring requirements, mapping competencies and transforming Asia Pacific/Japan sales force to high performance culture, and was also responsible to provide strategic advises and insights to Asia Pacific/Japan general managers and executives.

Dominic comes with over 30 years of business and general management experiences in the IT industry covering Asia Pacific/Japan. He worked previously at Tandem Computers as Director of Operation Asia North and was then hired to be the General Manager Asia of Data General. He has also held director and general management positions with Burroughs, NCR and Sperry Univac where he had successfully built business and sales teams in China and Hong Kong.

During his early career, Dominic worked with Hong Kong Bank in technical and systems programming. He is based in the firm's Hong Kong office.
