Mr. Adam Smith

biography

Mr. Smith has successfully completed over 250 assignments in his career as a search consultant. Mr. Smith has served a wide variety of domestic and international clients in industries including high technology, manufacturing, agribusiness, food and biotechnology, healthcare, not-for-profit, retail, architecture, management consulting, banking and financial services, and publishing. Over the course of his career, Mr. Smith has successfully recruited professionals for a broad range of positions including chief executive officers, presidents, principal financial officers, human resource executives, management consulting principals, heads of marketing and sales, and research and development principals.

Mr. Smith’s previous affiliation was with The Abbott Group, a high technology executive search firm in the Washington, DC area where he served as Vice President. Prior to this, he worked for the New York office of D.E. Foster Partners {An Alliance Firm of KPMG Peat Marwick}, conducting assignments for clients in manufacturing, management consulting, retail, and banking and financial services. Previously, Mr. Smith was with Kincannon & Reed, and AT&T. Mr. Smith maintains active involvement with the Society for Human Resource Management. Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Mary Washington College which included studies in Madrid, Spain at the Colegio Mayor de San Juan Evangelista, and has completed graduate-level courses in industrial/organizational psychology, assessment, and selection at George Mason University.
