biography

Alora has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources. Her Human Resources career began with the Federal Government in Recruitment and Human Resources Generalist administration. She has been providing HR research and consulting services since 2002, in Ontario and most recently with Harris Consulting in Manitoba. Alora joined Harris Consulting in 2004 and now leads the research team for executive search; provides search consulting; design, process and statistical analysis for employee surveys; and support for human resources and organizational development consulting projects.

As co-founder and partner in a service business, Alora successfully co-ran a knowledge-based service industry business for 4 years in Peterborough, Ontario before relocating to Winnipeg.

An experienced group facilitator, Alora spent over 20 years presenting at conferences, workshops and has facilitated approximately 300 seminars. She was also a member of an international board taskforce working on an intensive 2.5 year change management/ organization review project for a major global NGO. With a strong commitment to NFPs, Alora has Board, Council and Committee volunteerism experience at the local, municipal and national levels that spans a period of over 20 years.

As a consultant, Alora has assisted private, not-for-profit, and municipal organizations in multiple functions. As the Director of Research, Alora has extensive recruitment research and recruiting experience. Her range of experience includes:
