biography

Federico joined Amrop as a Partner in May 2013, to lead search assignments for senior executives and board members for local and international companies of medium and large-scale, mostly related to the sectors of mining, construction, infrastructure, energy, oil and gas. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in the mining sector, both in operations and in projects development . He was previously Regional Director of Operations for Newmont in Latin America, General Manager and Operations Manager of Yanacocha, (Newmont / Buenaventura), Senior Manager of Operations of the Batu Hijau mine, Indonesia for Newmont, General Manager of Implementation for Vale´s Bayovar Project, CEO of Apurimac Ferrum and General Manager of the Project Chucapaca, a Joint Venture between Gold Fields and Buenaventura. Federico holds a Mining Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He completed the Advanced Management Program (PAD) of the University of Piura. He has also completed advanced Management Courses in the Haas Business School at the University of Berkeley and Leadership in the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver, USA. Federico has 4 children. Among his hobbies, he practices tennis, scuba diving and other sports. He likes reading historical novels.
