Roger Samuel joined MSA Executive Search in 2006 as Vice President, bringing with him 25 years of organizational leadership and management development experience, along with an extensive background in healthcare governance and leadership. He offers his clients a unique perspective on the many challenges currently facing both executive and governing board level leaders, along with a thorough knowledge of key issues facing the healthcare industry.

Roger has successfully completed healthcare leadership searches for C-suite and Vice President levels across a wide range of hospital and health systems. He offers extensive experience working with Board Search Committees, clinical leadership teams, and health system leaders at clients ranging from multi-hospital systems and major academic medical centers to independent community hospitals.

In his tenure with MSA Executive Search, Roger has distinguished himself with both clients and candidates for the comprehensiveness of his work, his follow through, and his diligence in ensuring an ideal fit between client and candidate. He has established a strong network of healthcare executives across all leadership disciplines.

Prior to joining MSA, Roger’s senior management experience included over nine years in the position of publisher and CEO of a major newspaper. In this capacity, he distinguished himself as a strong leader, and was subsequently invited to serve on the boards of many community organizations, often in the top leadership role. He served for over ten years on the governing board-- including five years as Board Chair--of a large regionally integrated healthcare system in Michigan. In these roles, Roger led several successful CEO searches.

Roger earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
