Carla Ormsbee

biography

Carla Ormsbee has 20 years of experience in investment banking, both in the United States and in Mexico. With more than 10 years in the Mexican financial sector, Carla has developed an extensive network of contacts among the top corporate and financial institutions operating in the market.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Carla was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and head of the company's Global Banking Division in Mexico. During her tenure there, she established the bank's investment banking presence in the local market, providing advisory services and financing to the corporate sector in Mexico.

Carla previously spent 14 years with Merrill Lynch & Co., where she gained broad experience across industries and investment banking products including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, and equity and debt financings. Most recently, she served as Managing Director in the firm's Leveraged Finance Group in New York. Carla also was part of the team that established Merrill Lynch's Mexico City office in 1995.

Education

Carla holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wellesley College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
