Mary Newgard, CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) and AU (Associate in Commercial Underwriting), has specialized in sales and marketing since joining CSG in 2006 after working as a commercial transportation producer for Cottingham & Butler. Joining CSG was an opportunity for Mary to take a different spin on her insurance experience. As a recruiter she has been able to expand CSG’s national insurance footprint while also meeting the unique staffing needs of clients in regions where she once sold insurance such as the Mid-Atlantic, Gulf South and Southeast. Mary’s work focuses on solutions for insurance brokerages, particularly regional agencies seeking ways to identify new producers, executive leaders and technicians in underwriting, claims and account management. She is also involved in CSG’s Mergers & Acquisitions division where her team helps agencies identify potential opportunities and facilitate effective communication during the process. Mary is a regular instructor through the Insurance Journal Academy of Insurance where she contributes articles and presents webinars on agency recruitment.
