biography

Mary is a Principal Consultant for Pedersen and Partners executing Executive Search in the mining and exploration sectors. She has over 15 years of experience in human resources and human relations, specifically related to talent acquisition and retention policies and practices within the consulting engineering, environmental, and the resources sectors. She has spent the last 7 years doing Executive search specifically for the mining, environmental, and consulting engineering sectors. She has also spent time in corporate HR working for Hatch, ABB, and Zenon Environmental (now GE Water and Process Technologies).

An expert at partnering with clients to successfully implement their talent acquisition initiatives, Mary’s unique understanding of the mining and exploration talent market, and the technical needs and requirements within those markets equips her to undertake a variety of functions.

Mary manages talent acquisition projects involving Executives, Boards, and Managers with a high degree of technical knowledge as well as tenured positions with Universities with programmes related to mining and geology.

Mary possesses a Master's Degree and is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario (HRPA), Women in Mining (WIM), is a member of the Executive Committee for CIM Toronto, and is the Executive Committee for CIM GTA West.
