biography
César Muñiz is the Managing Director of Human Capital International. He joined HCI in 2012 and his areas of expertise include technology, consumer and industrial sectors. He is an experienced HR consultant who has lead an initiative to bring the HR function to the Strategic Level it should have within the organizations. Prior to joining HCI, he worked with Russell Reynolds Associates for 7 years, with Accenture as a Partner in charge of Communications & Hi Tech, and Strategy for 5 years and prior to that he was with McKinsey for 14 years, where his work dealt with issues of organizational design, strategy, human resources, organization, operations effectiveness, technology, information systems and post-merger integration. Throughout his career, he has gained knowledge of industries such as banking, telecommunications, transportation, retailing, electricity, water and food processing. His projects have taken place in Mexico, the United States, Europe and South America.
The industries he knows best are telecomm, automotive and banking. He has worked on regulation and reorganization intensively. His exposure on retail banking and his work has dealt with strategic planning, product development, performance measurement and process re-engineering.
Mr. Muñiz has a MBA, from IMEDE (now IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and a B.A. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico
