biography

Michael McKeon has served nonprofit and business organizations for over 25 years. He combines a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector with an ability to find practical solutions for his clients that reflect his experiences managing for-profit enterprises.

Michael learned first hand about helping people in need as a minister serving in Oakland and San Francisco and later in native and fishing communities in remote parts of Alaska. He transitioned to the financial services sector rising to positions of Branch Manager and Vice President at Smith Barney and Prudential Securities. During that period he built a reputation for training and retaining large groups of very successful financial professionals.

In 2000 Michael returned to the nonprofit sector, becoming the business manager for a well-known independent secondary school. He joined what is now m/Oppenheim Associates in 2006 and has conducted searches for independent schools, environmental organizations, human services and social justice agencies and foundations.

Michael has a BA in philosophy, and a Master of Theology from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology.

"I believe that transparency for candidates and clients leads to strong and successful futures for all parties."
