Derry Hyman brings over 25 years of experience and is a recognized as an expert in the recruiting industry. Derry started Hyman and Associates as a contingency search firm whose clients included the General Electric Company, Warner Bros., Wendy's International, Inc., The Coca Cola Company, Nestle USA Inc., Johnson and Johnson, The Walt Disney Company, Dell Inc., E. & J. Gallo Winery, ESPN Inc., the National Basketball Association, Inc., Mattel, Inc., Compaq Computer corporation and many others. Hyman and Associates eventually switched to retained search where their clients included Pepsi Cola, Inc., NIKE, Inc, Frito-Lay North America, KFC Corporation, Pizza Hut, Inc. and many more. The Hyman Medical Group was later opened by Derry as a division of Hyman and Associates to serve the healthcare industry. Derry is completely focused on making The Hyman Medical Group a force in Medical Recruiting.
Prior to this, he served as Vice President of training for a major retail chain. He has also held various positions in senior level management. Derry has a bachelor's degree in psychology from New York University and a master's degree in business from Temple University. Derry is a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association and past member of the Hispanic M.B.A. Association, The Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Personal Services, and The First Interview Network. Derry has earned many awards including National Rookie of the Year and Recruiter of the Year at Sales Consultants, Recruiter of the Year and the prestigious Barry Weiss Memorial Award for his integrity and excellence as a recruiter. Derry is also the past chairman and executive board member of the First Interview Network (the nation's largest independent sales recruiting network)
