Mr. Paul J Heldenbrand

biography

Mr. Heldenbrand is a former practicing attorney who has worked full-time in the executive search business in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore, Maryland area since 1985. After five years spent as a successful commercial real estate recruiter, he became a legal recruiting and law firm merger specialist in 1990. He was a senior executive search consultant and principal for almost twenty years with a Top 25 national search and consulting company headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area before forming Riverbend Group in early 2005. He is a 1980 graduate of The University of Maryland (B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, etc.) and a 1983 J.D. graduate of The University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a current member of the Maryland Bar and American Bar Association, and a former member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He is fluent in Spanish as well as English, and often works on projects involving Latin and Central America. In his former position, he earned numerous awards. He was a perennial member of his company's President's Circle (top annual producers). His other annual awards included both the Washington Office and National Account Executive of the Year awards and the National Multiple Placement Account Executive of the Year award. His lifetime achievement awards included membership in the company's "Hall of Fame" and "Living Legend" clubs. He also held several all-time company records at various times over the years, including most consecutive months of production by an account executive, highest quarterly and annual billings by a new account executive, and largest placement in the company's history. In 2007, Paul was honored when Riverbend Group was selected from among more than 4,000 companies by Goldline Research, a national professional services research and publishing company, as one of "The Ten Most Dependable Executive Search Firms & Staffing Agencies of the Mid-Atlantic."
