Brian Hailes

biography

Prior to founding Hailes & Associates in April 2000, Brian Hailes spent six years in executive recruitment with Russell Reynolds Associates, rising to the position of Managing Director and Head of the North American Telecommunications practice.

Mr. Hailes has over twenty years of management experience in the telecommunications industry. With BellSouth International he was Vice President, Business Development and Vice President, Latin America Operations. In the latter position he was responsible for the management and growth of five cellular companies, serving as President for two of them.

Previously, Mr. Hailes spent seven years in international marketing and product management with ITT in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. He began his career as an Executive Engineer with the British Post Office (now British Telecom).

Mr. Hailes has a B.Sc.(Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds and a Diploma in Management Studies from the Polytechnic of Central London. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, also serving as Membership Interviewer for the State of Georgia.

In his spare time Mr. Hailes serves on the board of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, is President of the Atlanta Chamber Players and recently completed a three year term on the Georgia Council for the Arts Music Panel . He is also a member of the Atlanta-Newcastle (UK) Sister City Committee and was 2003-04 Chairman of the Fundraising Committee for AYSA, the Atlanta Youth Soccer Association
