Ryan Ferreira is the founder and chief executive officer of 2148 Industries.
He served twenty years in the United States Marine Corps, including as a career recruiter, which is the specialty the firm is named after. He met co-founder Randy Webb in 2015 while both were Marine Corps recruiters, and the two started 2148 Industries in 2024.
He leads retained searches for operating leadership in aerospace, defense, manufacturing and industrial companies, and runs his engagements personally rather than passing them to a research team.
His view of the work is that hiring speed is a decision making capability rather than a recruiting one, and that most failed searches trace back to an intake conversation that never really happened.
