Salvador Elizaga

biography

Salvador is managing partner at Delta Top Talent, a 5 partners and 10 associates firm that represents IIC Partners in Mexico, ranked among the top ten retained executive search groups in the world. In 1977 he began his career at IBM Mexico, where he worked in different executive positions in the areas of Sales, Marketing and Human Resources. During 1985 and 1986 he was hired as Sales Director at Apple Computer Mexico. Later in 1988 he was co-founder and Vice President of Group Qualita (in those years the largest corporate reseller of HP and Microsoft in Mexico, with a workforce of over 1,200 people) where he was responsible for a team of over 250 employees. He began his career in executive search in 1993. Since then he has successfully contributed in the selection of over 500 top executives, making him one of the most experienced executive search consultants active in Mexico. In 1993 he founded ExSearch Latin America, a boutique search firm focused in first and second level positions. In 2002 he affiliates his firm to INAC an International Network of Associated (Search) Consultants, which in 2005 named him Chairman; a position he held until late 2006 when he joined Transearch. In March 2012 the firm's name was changed to Delta Top Talent. Salvador has a degree in Business Administration and graduated from the program for CEOs in IPADE 95/96. In the summer of 2009 he was a participant in the "Leading Professional Service Firms" program in Harvard Business School. He is certified by various international organizations as a consultant in the use of executive assessment tools and represents HOGAN Assessments in Mexico since 2010. He lives in Tecamachalco, Estado de Mexico with his wife Pily, his 3 daughters and his son. He likes to play tennis, read books and travel.
