biography
Eelco is a Partner in Amrop’s Amsterdam office, member of Amrop’s global Consumer & Retail Practice Group and member of Amrop’s global Life Sciences Practice Group. Eelco started his career in 1988 with Procter & Gamble in The Netherlands. He subsequently held management positions at (Reckitt) Benckiser in Europe, a.o. in Italy (Sales Director) and Germany (GM). He joined Frito-Lay in 1997 as Commercial VP-Smiths Foodgroup Benelux where he was later appointed General Manager Frito-Lay Germany. His last position before joining Amrop was with Cirio-DelMonte as Managing Director for Continental Europe. Eelco joined Amrop as Partner in November 2003. Eelco holds a Masters Degree in Medicine from Leiden University, The Netherlands. With his deep experience in the industry, both large and entrepreneurial FMCG and retail companies have sought Eelco’s advice and support in their search for talented (international) managers. Positions placed by Eelco vary from CEO/GM and Marketing & Sales to experts in Finance, Supply Chain, New Media and other positions. In the Life Sciences sector Eelco worked for industry leading global companies. Searches varied from management and commercial positions to highly specialized (medical) positions.
