Donna DeHart, President. Nine years ago, Donna made the decision to put her almost 20 years’ experience in business development, market strategy and benefits to work to make a career change, when she joined Donna Friedman as her partner. From working together in the past, both knew that each brought special expertise vitally important to making a company thrive: strong business know-how, exceptional organizational skills, and an overriding dedication to client service.

With a BS in Public Health from West Chester University, and an MBA from Widener University, Donna began her career in healthcare sales and marketing at a not-for-profit organization where she managed everything from fund-raising and training to management and planning.

After becoming Executive Director for this organization, her fund-raising skills transferred easily and successfully to the National Center for Health Promotion, where she became Eastern Regional Director, then Vice President, of Sales & Marketing. Her client base consisted of hospitals throughout the entire northeastern U.S.

When Independence Blue Cross was launching itself into the for-profit, then-new world of managed care, Donna joined the organization as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Her depth of experience, as well as extensive networking, particularly in health promotion/healthy lifestyles fundamental to managed care, helped launch this insurer as a leading managed care organization.

Later, Donna moved to NovaCare, a national, multi-billion dollar healthcare provider as Vice President, to run the Sales and Marketing division for its Orthotics and Prosthetics business, first regionally, then nationally. She oversaw all sales efforts, as well as contracting and marketing areas, until she left to follow her entrepreneurial spirit to Tower Consultants, Ltd.

As a Tower partner, Donna’s senior level contacts, organization skills and business acumen lend themselves well to every aspect of executive search: from initial client contact through orchestrating long term client/candidate matches.

While DeHart, along with Friedman, is a primary contact on each search Tower conducts, she has special expertise in compensation and benefits. Regarding process, she is heavily involved in managing searches from research strategy through candidate interview to negotiating and closing the offer. Along the way, she helps ensure that every “i” is dotted to the satisfaction of both Tower clients as well as the professionals whom Tower places.

From a business development point of view, Donna is active on a day-to-day basis in building and retaining Tower’s client base. In addition, she is responsible for developing the firm’s overall course, including: implementation of business systems, internal training, long-term operations, and ensuring that every nuance of Tower’s operations is in line with its business strategy.
