biography

Brent is President of Santa Barbara, California-based nBalance Consulting, which he founded in 2007, specializing in sales and marketing operations improvement for the SMB sector and helping clients optimize sales, marketing and product management strategies by developing high-impact sales plans and coaching programs, implementing measurement and monitoring standards, and creating repeatable workflow models for all three areas. A software and technology industry veteran, Brent also has experience working in and selling into the hospitality market.

Previously, he was VP of Global Sales & Marketing for InfoGenesis, the #1 provider of food & beverage enterprise management solutions to the gaming, cruise, and resort industries. Brent is an innovator and helped expand the company's sales and distribution through creation of an inside sales group in Las Vegas; the company's first overseas office in Macau, China; and a partner-driven ecosystem leveraging an open technology platform. He also led Product Management, developing and launching new and successful products, including the industry's very first Internet-based SaaS solution for Point of Sale (POS).

Earlier, Brent was VP of Sales for a national hospitality technology company where he grew the company's sales through process-driven sales methods, strategic hiring practices, and intense focus on major account development. Previously, he led Channel Programs for another software company, where he built its partner network to include Advisory Board level relationships with several major financial accounting software firms.

Brent began his career in the restaurant business after earning a B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and attended the University of California, San Diego where he studied biomedical engineering.
