Mr. Richard Beckett

Mr. Beckett has over 30 years experience in the executive search and management consulting business. Since 1983, Mr. Beckett has served as Managing Partner of Beckett McLaughlin International, LLC (BMI), specializes in domestic and international executive recruiting, and has achieved great success in providing services to companies such as: The Carlyle Group, Northrop Grumman IT, Unisys Corporation, SRA Corporation, Avendra (Division of Marriott), Marriott International (over 250 completed searches), CSX Corporation, Scadden Arps, Jones Day, and many other companies in a variety of industries in the US and overseas.

BMI specializes in locating top talent in the US, and overseas in the Energy, Life Sciences, Information Technology, Banking and Finance Industries. Mr. Beckett’s experience has covered many disciplines including: Accounting, Banking, Corporate Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Security, Life Sciences, and the legal field (attorneys). The firm has been successful in assisting legal clients locate “hard to find” attorney’s in Russia, China, and Latin America

In 1999, Mr. Beckett was appointed President of Global Technology Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Duratek Inc, a Carlyle Group portfolio company. Duratek provides nuclear-waste treatment for the federal government and the nuclear energy industry. The company provides consulting on how to handle nuclear waste. Its largest customer is the Energy Department, but its commercial clients include the pharmaceutical and energy industries, as well as hospitals and laboratories. The company also provided information technology consulting to Duratek’s commercial and government clients. Mr. Beckett did a management buyout of the GTS in 2001 and resold the company in 2008.

Mr. Beckett also has additional experience as an Accountant and Auditor for W.R. Grace and FMC Corporation, respectively. He is a veteran of the US Navy.
