McCord Consulting Group, Inc. began operations in 1992 with Sam McCord as owner and President. He and a partner started Midwest Technology Transfer, Inc. in 1991 to provide economic development and industrial recruitment for small, rural communities and later adding site selection to their business

MCG, Inc. was formed out of increased demands to provide marketing, business development, executive search and later business acquisition search. Coupling these two businesses has developed an effective combination of critical business services.
