The Dowd Group starts with a careful analysis of your needs and then we research and find qualified people.

We have two specialized groups that impact the process: the research staff and the consultants.

Our research staff is not only expert at information mining, but its members are technical specialists, system administrators, and certified technicians. Our researchers speak the same language as the candidates, helping them cut through the “fluff” and half-truths on resumes. We rate candidates based upon their number of years with competitors, their customer relationships (end-user, channel, OEM partners, etc.), their compensation history, education, training, and their sales rank within their company.

Our second group, career consultants, has the experience to interpret intangibles and to close the recruiting process. They isolate top producers by evaluating criteria such as:

- candidates' reasons for considering a career change (whether short and long term goals coincide with current career path;

- their communication skills;

- whether they are "hunters" (skilled at cold calling for new business) or "farmers" (skilled at penetrating existing account relationships);

- central themes identified in opinions/references of candidate's customers, former managers and colleagues;

- those qualities omitted in references, and

- the corporate culture in which they can succeed.



We seek and value feedback from our client’s recruiters that helps us prioritize the criteria.
