Sanford Rose Associates Beaverton, OR United States   Established: 1959 Firm Biography Executive Bio for Steve Hocker / Principal Steve is currently an owner with Sanford Rose Associates, International based out of Akron, Ohio and oversees his Executive Search office in Beaverton, Oregon. SRA, International is a network of over 70 recruiting offices that each specialize in a niche sector of the job market. Steve specializes in finding and placing top-tier Sales and Sales Management Executives that have a superior track record in the commercial Office Automation Equipment and Office Products marketplace throughout the U.S. (For additional information about Steve’s services, he can be reached at: Ph 503-906-7841) Prior to joining SRA, Steve graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Business Administration (Major in Marketing), and relocated to the West Coast and enrolled in the Management Training program with Macy’s California in San Francisco. While in this program, Steve was promoted and relocated with Macy’s to their new Reno, Nevada store and became a Department Sales Manager for both hard and soft goods, managing a selling staff of up to twenty full and part-time personnel. After just over 3 years in Retail Management, Steve joined the Moore Corporation (formerly Moore Business Forms & Systems Division) and worked for 6 years as an outside Account Sales Representative calling on medium to large commercial businesses selling business forms, printing, forms management services and computer forms. Moore then promoted Steve and relocated him to the San Francisco East Bay area as a District Sales Supervisor, sharing responsibilities with the District Manager. Steve’s sales team focus was to grow the Forms Management and Document Management programs with the major accounts in the Oakland, CA metro area. After 4 years in the Bay Area, Steve was promoted and relocated to Portland, Oregon as a Healthcare Program Manager. Steve’s focus now was to oversee the Healthcare sales team and implement enterprise-wide Document Solutions services in all hospitals, clinics, and medical services organizations. This effort was very successful as nearly every major Hospital became a Moore client through the team’s consistent and professional approach. Moore then merged with Wallace Computer Systems, and shortly thereafter, was acquired by RR Donnelly. With the downsizing, Steve received a severance package based upon his 17 years of excellent service. Upon exiting from Moore, Steve transitioned to Corporate Express (Office Products, Office Equipment, Computer Supplies, etc) and began developing new accounts in the Portland Metro marketplace. With Corporate Express, Steve acquired additional expertise with respect to commercial Office Automation and Document Imaging equipment and supplies from the major OEM’s such as HP, Lexmark, Oki-Data, Canon and other document solutions providers.
