Founded in 1984, the executive search firm, Lyons Pruitt International Inc., has acquired the reputation of balancing people and performance issues. Every candidate’s qualifications are reviewed by a Lyons Pruitt partner prior to presentation to a client. 7.Reference checks: this process assures that candidates are truly viable. 8.Interviews: we work closely with client and candidate to make sure there is a “fit”. 9.Offer negotiations: by the time the decision is made to make an offer, our methodology assures a higher-than-average acceptance rate. 10.Follow-up: once an offer is accepted, Lyons Pruitt supports the transition to the client employer.

BIOGRAPHIES:

Jim Pruitt, President Jim Pruitt, President of Lyons Pruitt International, Inc. has been in the executive search business for over 20 years, having made his first placement in the fall of 1975. In 1984, he founded FAXS (First Atlantic Executive Search) which later became Simon & Pruitt after partnering with Maggi Simon. In 1996, Simon & Pruitt merged with Lyons Associates. Specializing in the financial services industry, Jim focuses on the corporate finance & marketing disciplines, recruiting at all levels up to the CFO, Treasurer, Chief Marketing Officer & business-unit CEO. He has played a strong role in supporting client transition to the internet. Jim's clients include fortune 500 banks and financial services leaders as well as internet start-ups. Viewing recruiting as an art, his favorite quote is: "To know is delusional; not to know is insensitive." This applies very much to the inquisitive nature required of all great recruiters in evaluating talent for a client. Jim believes that Lyons Pruitt has grown by helping its clients grow. Everyone on the Lyons Pruitt team can take great pride in the role that they play in supporting client growth.

Scott Lyons, Managing Director Scott Lyons, Vice President of Lyons Pruitt International, Inc., began his career in 1988 as an original member of the NYC based IT recruiting firm RBL (the founding company behind OTEC and ultimately, HotJobs.com). In 1990 he formed Lyons Associates International, which focused on identifying quantitative finance and technology professionals. In 1996 Lyons Associates merged with Simon and Pruitt to form Lyons Pruitt International, Inc. This expanded the practice into the treasury and credit risk management areas. Scott continues to work in financial engineering, computational finance, quantitative portfolio management and research, credit risk management, emerging technologies and marketing. He has a BA from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.

Rick Slifka, EVP Recruiting Rick Slifka, EVP Recruiting, has been in the executive search business for over 8 years. His background in sales with companies like NaBanco, Regency Productions by Hyatt, and Kemper Sports also includes 6 years in a Sr. Sales/Marketing position with the PGA Tour. Rick joined Lyons Pruitt International, Inc. in 1998, and his clients include leaders in electronic transaction processing, merchant services, credit/value card sales, and general financial services.

Olin Lyons, VP of Specialty Recruiting Olin Lyons has been in the executive search business for over five years. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Secretary of the Lehigh Valley Chapter Society of Plastic Engineers. His prior accomplishments include owning a small business for over 10 years, over 6 years of sales, and 12 years as a freight broker. Olin’s clients are leaders in plastics and manufacturing, and his recruiting specialties include: Specialty Chemicals, Colors and Pigments, Injection Molding, Compounding, Plastics, Engineering, Plant Management, Operations Management, E-Commerce, and Sales Management.
