GibsonFisher provides management resources and advisory services to executives, boards and other decision-makers in the healthcare industry. Each project is custom designed to address the unique management issues of the specific client.

The firm was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1986 as an Ohio corporation by James O. Gibson, a healthcare executive, and Theodore G. Fisher, an attorney specializing in healthcare law. The intent of the founders was to build a national consulting firm recognized as a leader in serving the healthcare industry.

Built on a foundation established by Mr. Gibson, the firm has developed along a steady growth line, continually adding clients, consultants and management resources. Since beginning in 1986, the firm has grown to international scope with an interdisciplinary staff of professional consultants and clients throughout the United States and in Canada.

GibsonFisher is an expanding group of professionals with strong credentials and years of experience in the management of healthcare services and programs. The consulting staff consists of an interdisciplinary team with diverse backgrounds in a range of specialties in both the clinical and business operations. All team members bring a mature consulting perspective that comes only from years of hands-on experience in healthcare management.

The mission of GibsonFisher is to help our clients improve the efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, profitability, and quality of care in the management and operations of their healthcare facilities and programs, and to add to the repository of knowledge in healthcare management.

The services provided by GibsonFisher include consultation, executive search, research and evaluation, training, project management and/or resource materials in succession planning and evaluation, management audits, organizational development, board and staff development.

Unlike many firms, professional fees for services are based on a flat fee relative to the complexity of the engagement; this guarantees objectivity and focusing interest solely on finding the best organizational fit versus advocating the highest paid candidate.

    Mr. Kotalo has over fifteen years experience in consulting and executive search. Prior to joining the firm in 1997, he was a Hospital & Health System Practice Director for a national executive search firm.

A Certified Personnel Consultant by the National Association of Personnel Consultants, Washington DC, Mr. Kotalo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capital University. Previously, he was a National Account Executive with Motorola Communications, Inc.
